AlNet — Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 July 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Albanian Network (“we”, “us”), Tirana, Albania, for your use of the AlNet mobile app and related services (the “app”). By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
Two related documents form part of this agreement: our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines.
1. Who can use AlNet
You must be 18 or older to use AlNet. The app includes a marketplace and an in-app balance, and is not intended for children. You must also be legally able to enter into this agreement and not barred from using the service under any applicable law.
One person, one account. Do not create an account on behalf of someone else, and do not share your account.
2. Your account and your keys
You sign in with your phone number and a one-time SMS code. Your device generates a cryptographic key pair; your public key is your identity on the network and your private key never leaves your device.
This matters: because we never hold your private key, we cannot recover it for you. If you lose your device without transferring your account, we can restore access to your phone number, but the key itself is gone. Keep your phone number active and use the in-app account transfer before changing devices.
Registering your phone number on a new device signs you out on the old one. For your protection, an account recovered on a new device may have outbound transfers held for a short period.
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device secure. Tell us promptly at salesalbanianetwork@proton.me if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. How you may use the app
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. In addition, you agree not to:
- break the law, or use AlNet to help anyone else break the law;
- interfere with, overload, or attempt to disrupt the network or its nodes;
- attempt to defeat the app's security, rate limits, or verification;
- use automated means to create accounts or generate activity;
- reverse-engineer the app except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted;
- misrepresent who you are, or impersonate another person or business;
- collect other users' personal data, or republish it without their consent.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By publishing content in the app you grant us and the network a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, and transmit it for the purpose of operating AlNet. This licence exists so the network can deliver your content — nothing more.
Publishing on AlNet is not reversible. AlNet is a peer-to-peer network. Content you publish is copied to other people's devices and to independent nodes. Deleting it from your own device — or deleting your account — will not remove copies that have already spread. Treat anything you publish as permanent and public. Please consider this before posting.
You are responsible for what you publish, and you confirm you have the rights to publish it. We may remove content or restrict accounts where we believe our Guidelines or the law have been broken, but we do not pre-screen content and we cannot guarantee removal across the network.
5. Other users, posts, jobs and bids
AlNet lets users publish posts, offer jobs or goods, place bids, and agree deals with each other. Those agreements are between the users involved. We are not a party to them, we do not vet users or listings, and we do not act as an escrow, broker, employer, or guarantor.
You are responsible for judging who you deal with and for meeting your own commitments, including any tax, licensing, consumer, or employment obligations that apply to you. If a deal goes wrong, resolve it with the other user; you may also report them in the app.
6. lcoins (Ⱡ / e-Lek)
AlNet includes an in-app balance denominated in lcoins (displayed as “Ⱡ” or “e-Lek”). lcoins are used to pay in-app fees and to settle deals between users, and can be sent between users inside the app.
lcoins cannot be bought, and cannot be cashed out. They come into existence only when a device earns them through taking part in the network. We do not sell lcoins, we do not accept money in exchange for them, and we do not buy them back or convert them into currency of any kind. There is no top-up, no purchase, and no withdrawal.
- lcoins are recorded on our nodes and are administered by us.
- lcoins are not legal tender, not currency, not a bank deposit, and not a claim on us for money. They are not covered by any deposit-guarantee or investor-compensation scheme.
- Because we never receive funds in exchange for lcoins, they do not represent stored monetary value and are not electronic money.
- lcoins have no cash value outside AlNet. Any reference anywhere to a rate, reference value, or peg is indicative and for display only — it is a unit of account inside the app, not a promise of value, and it can change or be withdrawn at any time.
- lcoins are not an investment. Do not acquire, hold, or trade them expecting profit, and do not treat a balance as savings.
- Selling lcoins for money outside AlNet, or offering to, is a breach of these terms and of our Community Guidelines.
We may charge fees in lcoins for certain actions in the app. Fees are shown before you confirm, and may change with notice. We may correct balances affected by error, fraud, a bug, or a fault in the service, and we may withhold or reverse lcoins obtained by breaking these terms.
lcoins are forfeited if your account is deleted or permanently banned. We may change how lcoins are earned, or discontinue them, with notice in the app.
7. Availability
We provide the app “as is” and “as available”. AlNet depends on your device, your connectivity, and other users' devices being reachable. Messages, posts, calls, and transfers may be delayed, may fail, or may not reach everyone. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties. This does not affect rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded.
8. Suspension and termination
We may warn, restrict, suspend, or permanently ban an account that breaks these terms or our Guidelines, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users, the network, or us. Serious cases — in particular anything involving the safety of a child — result in an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to the authorities.
Accounts may also be restricted automatically where a number of users report the same account. If you think a decision was wrong, contact salesalbanianetwork@proton.me and we will review it.
You can delete your account at any time from Account settings in the app. Deletion is permanent: your profile and wallet record are removed from our nodes and any remaining lcoin balance is forfeited. Some hashed identifiers may be kept to prevent abuse and to meet legal obligations, and content already distributed across the network may remain.
9. Our liability
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms. We are not responsible for: the conduct, content, or solvency of other users; deals you agree with other users; loss caused by your loss of a device or private key; or loss you could have avoided by following these terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the app is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or EUR 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date, and where the change is significant we will ask you to accept it in the app. Continuing to use AlNet after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Albania, and the courts of Tirana have jurisdiction. If you use AlNet as a consumer in another country, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer rules that apply where you live.
Please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly by email.
