AlNet — Community Guidelines
Last updated: 21 July 2026
AlNet is a network for people in Albania and beyond to talk, post, and trade directly with each other. It works because people behave decently. These guidelines set out what is not acceptable, how to report it, and what we do about it. They apply everywhere in the app — the feed, jobs and bids, private chats, group chats, calls, and sayings.
Breaking these guidelines can get your content removed and your account suspended or permanently banned. They form part of our Terms of Service.
The short version
- Treat people the way you would face to face.
- Be honest about who you are and what you are selling.
- Do not post anything involving a child in a sexual way — ever.
- Do not post other people's private information.
- If someone is bothering you, block and report them.
Zero tolerance
The following results in an immediate and permanent ban, with no warning. Where the law requires it, we report to the authorities and preserve relevant records.
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation. Any sexual content involving a minor, any attempt to sexualise a minor, any grooming or solicitation of a minor, and any attempt to trade such material. There are no exceptions and no context in which this is acceptable.
- Terrorism and violent extremism. Promoting, organising, or fundraising for terrorist or violent extremist activity.
- Credible threats of serious violence against a person or group, and incitement to commit it.
- Human trafficking and the sale of people or sexual services.
To report child safety concerns urgently: use Report in the app and select the child-safety category, and email salesalbanianetwork@proton.me with SAFETY in the subject line. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
Not allowed
Harassment and abuse
- Targeted insults, bullying, intimidation, or pile-ons.
- Repeated unwanted contact after someone has asked you to stop or blocked you.
- Sexual harassment, unsolicited sexual messages or images.
- Threatening to expose someone's private information or images.
Hate
Attacking or dehumanising people because of ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or age. Albania is mixed and so is this network. Slurs and ethnic incitement are not welcome here.
Violence and graphic content
- Glorifying violence, or celebrating suffering and death.
- Gratuitously graphic or gory material.
- Encouraging self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders. If you are struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a local support service.
Adult and sexual content
AlNet is not a platform for pornography. Do not post sexually explicit images or video, and do not use the app to advertise sexual services. Non-consensual intimate images are never permitted and are treated as a severe violation.
Scams, fraud and deception
- Fake listings, fake jobs, or advertising something you cannot deliver.
- Advance-fee schemes, pyramid or referral schemes, and “guaranteed return” offers.
- Phishing, or asking anyone for their verification code, recovery details, or private key. We will never ask you for your code or key.
- Manipulating balances, exploiting bugs, or attempting to spend the same funds twice. Tell us about a bug instead — we would rather fix it.
- Selling lcoins for money, or offering to buy them, anywhere outside AlNet. lcoins are earned inside the app and have no cash value; treating them as a currency to be traded for money is not permitted.
Illegal and restricted goods
Do not use the marketplace for:
- drugs, drug precursors, or drug paraphernalia;
- weapons, ammunition, or explosives;
- stolen goods, or counterfeit and pirated items;
- human remains, protected wildlife, or endangered species;
- prescription medicines, or unapproved medical treatments;
- identity documents, accounts, or hacked data;
- anything else whose sale is illegal where you or the buyer are.
Impersonation and misrepresentation
Do not pretend to be another person, a business, a public official, or a representative of AlNet. Do not use someone else's photos or company name to make a listing look legitimate.
Spam and manipulation
- Repetitive or mass-duplicated posts and messages.
- Unsolicited bulk advertising, in the feed or in private chats.
- Creating multiple accounts to evade a ban, inflate activity, or place fake bids.
- Coordinated reporting of an account you simply disagree with.
Other people's privacy
Do not post someone else's phone number, address, ID documents, financial details, or private messages without their consent. Do not photograph or film people in private settings and publish it.
Trading fairly
Much of AlNet is people offering work and goods to each other. Whether you are posting a job, bidding on one, or agreeing a deal:
- describe honestly what you are offering, including its real condition;
- state a real price and do not change the terms after agreement;
- do what you agreed, on time, or tell the other person promptly;
- do not bid without intending to go through with it;
- do not pressure anyone into moving the deal off AlNet to avoid accountability.
Deals are between the users involved — we are not a party to them and we do not hold funds in escrow. Judge who you are dealing with, and keep a record.
Reporting and blocking
Every post, chat, group member, bid, and saying has a Report option, usually behind the “⋯” menu. Reporting is private — the other person is not told who reported them. Choose the category that fits best, since safety categories are prioritised.
Blocking stops that person reaching you: their messages, calls, and content are rejected by your device. You can see and undo your blocks under Account → Security → Blocked users.
Because AlNet is peer-to-peer, removal is not always complete. We can restrict or ban an account on our nodes, but content that has already been copied to other people's devices may persist. This is a real limit of the network, and it is why we act quickly on reports and why you should think before you post.
What happens when rules are broken
Depending on what happened and whether it has happened before, we may:
- remove content from our nodes;
- issue a warning;
- limit features such as posting, bidding, or messaging;
- suspend the account temporarily;
- ban the account permanently.
Accounts may also be suspended automatically when enough separate users report them, weighted by how trusted those reporters are. This is deliberately blunt so that abuse is stopped quickly; if it catches you unfairly, tell us and a person will review it.
A permanent ban is tied to your verified phone number, so registering again with the same number will not restore access. Attempting to evade a ban is itself a violation.
Appeals
If you believe we got it wrong, email salesalbanianetwork@proton.me from the phone number on the account, with a short explanation and anything that helps us check. We will review it and reply. We do not reverse bans for child-safety violations.
Changes
We will update these guidelines as the network grows and as we learn what works. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
